The 48 Hour Film Project is a global creative challenge that pits filmmaking teams. The challenge is coordinated within metro regions throughout the world, with different cities participating on different weekends. To prevent overzealous teams from jumping ahead of the Friday night start, requirements are provided: genre, character name and occupation, prop and line of dialogue.
My second 48 Hour Film Project submission was for Richmond’s inaugural Horror edition — but we decided to make it a horror-comedy.
Logline: When inept serial killer Steve MacDonald doesn’t meet his cult’s murder quota, he’s placed on membership probation until he bags a significant kill. So Steve plots his next move to return to the good graces of his peers — and also his buddy’s tasty ribs.
“Steve’s Killer Quota” was an official selection of the Richmond International Film Festival.
